Micah & Sophia attended their last day of school here in Germany on June 18. Micah was OK with saying good bye to teachers and friends and Sophia was a little sad. Germany has year round school and school does not officially end until July 23. Our kids ended early because of a conference trip to Berlin, a family trip to the German Alps, & a REAL need to focus again on the school work from Canada. We have 5 weeks to finish up their curriculums from CCS which will leave them August to enjoy family & friends.

Micah received a class photo but we don't have a scanner :( He always went alone to school so I wasn't able to get any shots of him. Mothers do not tag along to school in the upper grades in Germany. It is a say goodbye at the house society. Even at Sophia's school (Gr 1 - 4) most parents do not walk their children to or from school. Children are more independent, even crossing busy streets alone at a young age. Overall school was an OK to Good experience for the kids and culturally stretching for our family.
