These were Sophia words on the evening that Grandpa & Grandma came to visit laden with many gifts from family, missed food items from home, and more books to read. It looked like & felt like Christmas in our house. The most desired items were Valentine's candy, Macaroni & Cheese, Jif Peanut Butter, Vanilla (for me), & coffee beans (for Dan).
We had a wonderful time with Grandpa & Grandma. The kids enjoyed showing off the house, their schools and favorite playgrounds. Of course, Wulff's Sausage stand was a must, along with stopping for a pretzel while seeing the city center. We had a great time catching up with them. We also took a trip to Eisenach and Dresden, which is about 4 hours from us.
We did some hiking in "Saxony Switzerland"
Restaurants and TV in the hotel were hits with the kids. Amazing how long they will sit and watch not understanding anything beyond what the pictures were conveying.
In Eisenach, we toured a castle called Wartburg. Martin Luther translated the New Testament from Greek into German here.
Typical German sled on loan from our neighbor.

Thanks for posting-love seeing the kids with Mom and Dad, I am sure the kids had a great time. Getting some time to explore some of the old city's and castles looked like a lot of fun.
