A little bit of home

The Van Veen's are here!  How excited we all were to see them.  The kids played and played, while the adults had a good time catching up.  I don't think we saw any of the kids for the first couple of hours. Sunday was a low key day for us with lots of playing.  I think that I was too busy enjoying the company to take many pictures.  Currently they are in the Netherlands seeing some family, but we get to see them again later tonight.  The kids have been lost without their friends and it has only been two days!

On Monday we took them on a tour of the city.  Of course we needed to stop for sausages and ice cream in the city center.

The kids taking a break while the adults look at the university buildings.

Sophia had fun showing her school playground.
These plants are my source pride at the moment.  The red flower plant was a welcome to Göttingen gift from Dan in December. The purple plant was a Valentine's Day gift from the kids.   I'm super excited to see blooms again, because I thought they would only bloom once while we were here.
